Alma San Juan celebrates grand opening with four days of cultural celebrations

ALMA San Juan, debuts in historic Old San Juan with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at Plaza Colón, where Los Violines de Marquito will transform the centuries-old plaza into an orchestral celebration, marking the beginning of a four-day cultural festival. The weekend unfolds with performances by Grammy-nominated jazz legend Charlie Sepulveda, nightly culinary experiences, and cultural performances that showcase Puerto Rico’s dynamic arts scene. Housed in the iconic Pisos de Don Juan building, the first Spanish Mediterranean Revival structure in Old San Juan, ALMA seamlessly blends colonial-era architectural splendor with contemporary luxury. The 56-room boutique hotel introduces two groundbreaking restaurants by acclaimed Puerto Rican chefs José Mendin and Jose Alvarez, showcases a museum-worthy collection of hundreds of works by Puerto Rican artists, and features stunning views of
UNESCO World Heritage site Castillo San Cristóbal.

“ALMA San Juan represents the evolution of Puerto Rican hospitality, where our rich cultural heritage meets contemporary luxury,” said Gisela Rivera, General Manager of ALMA San Juan. “Our extraordinary team has created more than a hotel – we’ve created a destination that celebrates the soul of Puerto Rico through its art, cuisine, and unparalleled service.”
